P.S.  Many of the C400’s are cruising on the East Coast with a very active forum on all manner of things about the boat including A/C.

Here is the link C400@catalina400-445.groups.io

This is a very active and amazing group of C400 owners.

Thanks Sam.

Good news.

Yes we will be here to move the boat and train Jim on how to best manage the furling main.

Hello Hank and Eileen,

I was just in touch with the buyers today.  They are excited for the survey and sea trial on Thursday, September 9th.  They have already gotten estimates to have a bimini made for the boat and have asked me to get estimates for a shore based A/C system.  They also asked me to arrange with KKMI to have the prop lubed at your suggestion Hank.  I am very confident the sale will go through smoothly.

I will be out of town for the survey, but my colleague, Jim Tull, will be moving the boat for the survey and doing the sea trial with my clients.  I am going to confirm with Jim and Deb tomorrow about slip availability at our marina and when we can move Jazzy.  It will be after the long weekend.

Hank, will you be in town at the beginning of next week to go over the in- mast furling on the boat before the survey?

Thank you for checking in and I will keep you posted as things progress.

Kind regards,

Samantha Gordon

Our Catalina is back at our dock, which is fine for us, but sometimes buyers want to look again.  We’re scheduled for a haul out on September 9th.  Do you know when the buyers want the trial sail?

We look forward to info on the Beneteau 38 - work your magic!

Hi Eileen!
I was just emailing Hank. Seems like you are both longing for a boat but on separate computers. I am getting info on it now. I will update you two as soon as I can get the owner to let it go!

Hi Deb,
Is there any news about the 2014 Beneteau 38 described below that you thought might be coming on the market?

Thank you!

Hi Eileen,

I am  sure it was a difficult decision, and I can understand your concerns. You want to make sure you can handle the boat and you're able to change it to fit your circumstances but has the basics that cannot easily be modified or added.

I still have your check so can either tear it up or you can pick it up. I will let the sellers know. Boats are very hard to come by this year as you are aware so we are letting our clients know personally when something comes up that might fit.

I have a 38 coming up on brokerage at the end of this month or early next month that is a 2014. It's a one owner boat and the owner is meticulous. If this is of interest, I will let you know when it gets here. It is a furling main and jib so that would be a bit better suited to you. We can also add the self tacking jib hardware to the 38's to make it even easier. We also have a new 38.1 with furnling and lots of goodies arriving in November if new ever makes your list.

Let me know about the check, and we will keep an eye out for you for a more perfect boat.

Deb

Hi Torbin & Deb,

After deep and careful consideration, we would like to withdraw our offer on the Beneteau 35 named Nighthawks.  We have too many concerns about this boat, which weve partially discussed and don’t see the boat meeting our needs.  While we know there is a scarcity of these boats, we’re willing to wait for a boat that will better meet our needs.  Our apologies and thanks for the time you’ve put into the process, but wanted you to know as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Eileen & Hank Lewis
