Hi all I had to replace the rudder on my boat I need to double check that the mechanic installed the quadrant correctly the rudder sensor connection was, I thought, on the top of the quadrant but now

It’s shorter. Hopefully that will prevent or at least lessen the chances of this happening again. It is going to be a challenge getting it installed. Al the marinas in the area are busy

Good to hear. I got the quadrant on my boat without needing to cut anything other than the through bolt. I had to cut the head off and knock it out from the front. My new rudder is being shipped tomor

The bearings for my version of my boat is quite a bit of different there doesn’t appear to be any lower bearing. All the bearing and packing are construct are bronze (see drawing below)

I think there are some differences in the construct of the tubing and how the bearings are used between the models but thanks for the info on the quadrant and the stuffing box. It maybe with the addit
