C400 Rudder failure...
I too had this exact thing occur on my boat two years ago, during the middle of a race. We collided in big seas with a competitor, causing quite some damage. We could not make head nor tail of the rud

Mike, I have replaced several of mine, not for failure of the fitting per se but because the handle snapped because the valve itself became too hard to move. This just showed that I wasn't exercising
