Re: floor refinishing
Hi Tom
No, I’m not sure, i just assumed, but what you say makes sense. Whatever is on there is very tough.
Assuming it is not varnish, any suggestions?
Cheers

Fuel Tank Creaking
Has anyone had a problem with their fuel tank creaking loudly in big following seas?
Sounds like perhaps an internal baffle weld has separated or maybe an external hold-down tab? It’s very loud.

Greg,
Excellent thought. Yes, I have the dripless shaft seal. When I get things opened up a bit I will investigate the possibility you suggest. I bet that is exactly what is happening as I do not

Do you have a dripless shaft seal with a tube that ties into the cooling water circuit? If so, water could be back-flowing in the raw water circuit.
Look at the connection

Excellent procedure description. Thanks.
Leads me to another interesting issue: when the engine seacock is completely closed some water still comes through when changing an impeller. No leak anywhere
