Hi Jim,
The 50% floor mentioned is based on BMS readings (link2000 in the xantrax line of old, or the BMV700 series of battery monitors from Victron). 100% SOC being calibrated after a full 'shore'

I think lifeline documents this at 1000 cycles (if taken to 50%)...
as the batts are discharged below this midpoint floor, I believe that the number of cycles is greatly reduced.

Great question! The answer here is NO, but as my xantrax charger started getting possessed, it started charging the batts at 15V, then shutting off. During one the off cycles, the batts discharged

Re: AGM Batteries
So just curious...do many of you actually keep track of your number of “deep cycle discharges”?
Not a number I track.

Re: AGM Batteries
Hi Ralph:
Thanks so much! I wonder if there’s a manufacturer’s recommended maximum number of deep cycle discharges?

I'd love to see your article on this. On my long list of to-do, might make short list sooner than I'd hope it would.

Sure. I fear the same task is in my future. We have a 1998 #126.
The "clean out" port have been blown out and resealed but not well resealed, so this project is looming soon for us

Re: Bilge separation
No worries. I “fixed” it. It seems to me that the hole had a fair amount of epoxy (or similar) blocking a large portion of the hole. I suspect in the early days drainage was possible, but

Yes. Super duper 3M Velcro. I’m using six 2”x2” Velcro pieces. Any more and it’s tough to get the floor panel up.
